Taa Marbuta

تاء مربوطة

Taa marbuta is aletter comes in the end of the word ( never comes in the Middle or beginning of the word).
The ways of writting taa marbuta:
there is 2 ways to write taa marbuta one is spreated ( ة ) and the other one when it is connected to the letter before it ( ـة ).

Notice:
the meaning of Taa marbuta is: " tied Taa "

The pronounciation:

the pronounciation of taa marbuta is the same with A (some Arabic professors says it should be pronounced as H ) when there is no vowel above it ( skoon ). but if it has vowel above it, it will pronunced as taa ( T in English) and then the vowel after.

Example:

(beautiful) جميلة

here the pronunciation is: jameela

جميلةُ

here the pronunciation is: jameelato

Where does ta marbuta written??

Rules

The taa marbuta is writting in the end of this words:
1.The feminine names as:
جميلة، فاطمة، خضرة
2. The feminie object or things as:
بقرة (cow), طاولة (table)
3.femine adjective as:
جميلة (beautiful)، طويلة (tall) ، ذكية (clever).
4. intensiveness form of the noun as:
علامة ( connoisseur )
5. in the word " ثمة" (there is).

please notice the last 2 uses are not really useful for you in speaking( " ثمة "is old word and the intensiveness form is not often will be used for you)as foreigner but you should know them.

Rule

When pronoun connected to any word has ta marbuta in the end of it. the ta marbuta changes to taa, as:

طاولتي (my table)
