Adjectives

• the adjective in Arabic comes after the noun, does it sound strange? but its true for example to say big house you will say house big .. interesting isn't it? lets see the examples.

Example:

byet kabeer (big house) بيت كبير

shay sakhin (hot tea) شاي ساخن

6A3am laTHiTH(delicious food) طعام لذيذ

kitab mushAwiq (interesting book) كتاب مشوق

• If noun has "the" ( الـ ) the adjective has too, and if it doesn't the adjective doesn't.

Example:

alyAd alyumna (the right hand) اليد اليمنى

alminshafa alnazha (the clean towel) المنشفة النظيفة

albint aljameela ( the beautiful girl) االبنت الجميلة

• If the noun is feminine the adjective is feminine too, and if it's masculine the adjective is masculine too.

Example:

bint jameela ( beautiful girl) بنت جميلة

wAlAd THAkey (clever boy) ولد ذكي

bint THAkya (clever girl) بنت ذكية
